Conference Dinner
Furama Riverfront, Mercury Room, Level 5
19 September 2010 (Sunday)
7.00pm to 9.00pm
- Complimentary for those holding conference passes including students.
- Spouses and accompanying persons will have to purchase dinner ticket separately if they want to join the dinner. Dinner ticket is priced at S$75 nett.
- Dinner tickets can be purchased from the Registration Counter before 18 September 2010, 12 noon.
Transportation Arrangement
The pickup point to NUS on 18, 19 and 20 September 2010 will be at the hotel lobby of Furama RiverFront.
Those staying at Riverview Hotel or nearby hotel are to assemble at Furama Riverfront as well.
The departure timings are as follows:
- 18 September 2010 (Saturday): 7.45am
- 19 September 2010 (Sunday): 8.00am
- 20 September 2010 (Monday): 8.00am
Delegates are advised to assemble at the hotel lobby of Furama Riverfront 5 mins before departure time. Please wear your name badge at all times for identification.
At the end of each day session, there will be transportation from NUS to Furama Riverfront. The bus will leave 10 mins after the end of the last presentation.
Instructions for Oral Presentations
- The duration for the various presentations are as follows:
- Keynote: 35 mins + 10 mins Q&A
- Invited: 25 mins + 5 mins Q&A
- Oral: 12 mins + 3 mins Q&A
- Presentation should be done using MS Office PowerPoint. A laptop with a projector will be available in all sessions. All presenters should save their presentation in a USB storage device in a format that can be read by PowerPoint 2007 on a Windows-based PC.
- Presenters should transfer their files to the provided laptop in the venue of their presentation as early as possible. Preferable times are during tea, lunch and inter-session breaks. A student volunteer will be available to assist the presenters.
- Presenters are requested to submit a short CV to the Session Chair at the beginning of the session. A standard form is available at the registration counter.
Instructions for Poster Presentations
- The poster should be in portrait layout and A1 size (594mm (W) x 841mm (H) / 23.3in (W) x 35in (H)).
- Posters should be put up by 1pm, 18 September 2010.
- The necessary mounting tools, e.g. Velcro tape, will be available on-site. Posters are to be put up according to the numbering on the poster panels (and also given in the conference programme). Authors should be present during the 2 poster sessions to explain their study and to answer questions. Posters must be removed immediately after the poster session on 19 September 2010.
